Not for Opium Production

Opium poppy plants grow throughout the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world. They are featured in numerous gardening magazines, dried flower shops, and floral wholesalers. The dried seed pods are a wonderful addition to your dried flower arrangements. The seeds are used in the United States and especially Eastern Europe for culinary purposes, (cooking) Mostly for breads, bagles and rolls, there is no opium in the seeds themselves.

Even though possession of poppy seeds appears to be legal in the United States, it is illegal to produce opium, and may be illegal to grow poppies in your area. Purchasers/recipient agrees to use seeds purchased/obtained from in accordance with agricultural and governmental laws. It is legal for you to purchase our seeds, though the planting of any Opium Poppy Seeds may be illegal. Consult your local authorities or a legal expert.

Our seeds are untreated and totally viable (with excellent sprouting and growing). We do not advocate growing and/or consumption of the poppy plant. Poppies are listed as a poisonous plant. Extracting opium from the unripe seed pod is illegal, and should not be grown for that purpose.
